We Are Aquareos

To be honest: You can’t save the planet. Neither can we. But we can make sure that the water that feeds it is used wisely. That belief is what drives Aquareos Space — a conviction that meaningful change doesn’t wait for the one big solution that never quite arrives. It comes from many small, precise, well-engineered steps. We bring our expertise to one of the most pressing consequences of climate change: water scarcity in agriculture. Not because it’s easy, but because we know how.

Michael Weissflog

Co-Founder & Software Developer

Michael is the software backbone of Aquareos Space. He designs and builds the entire LEAFS system — from data architecture and decision logic to APIs, data pipelines, firmware and the interfaces that make complex agronomic models accessible to anyone growing crops. His work spans backend, frontend, and everything in between. If it runs on LEAFS, Michael built it.

Dr. Kenny Pagel

Co-Founder & Hardware Architect

Kenny holds a PhD in mechatronics and brings deep expertise in the development of actuators and sensors to Aquareos Space. His research forms the scientific foundation for the hardware at the heart of LEAFS — components that are not just functional, but patented. Kenny is the reason our system doesn’t stop at the screen.

Beyond the Two of Us

Aquareos Space is developed by two people — but shaped by many more. We work closely with an informal network of specialists whose expertise influences our thinking and actions: geologists, forestry and agricultural scientists, materials engineers, and manufacturing partners. Some of them we’ve known for years. All of them believe in what we’re doing. We don’t pretend to know everything. We just make sure the right people are in the discussion when it matters.
