Localized Content Display (IP-Based Geolocation)

Our website uses a technical mechanism to display localized visual content, such as region-specific images.

For this purpose, the IP address of a visitor is processed briefly on the server to derive approximate location information at country or regional level (e.g. federal state). The location determination is not precise and does not allow identification of a specific individual or exact location.

The processing is performed exclusively server-side using a locally operated geolocation database (GeoLite2 by MaxMind). No IP addresses are transmitted to third parties, and the IP address is not stored, logged, or linked to other data.

The derived location information is used solely to select a pre-generated, region-based image. The images themselves are cached and delivered independently of individual users.

No tracking, profiling, analytics, or user behavior evaluation takes place in this context.

Our legitimate interest lies in providing a visually engaging, context-aware presentation of our content while applying strict data minimization.

Use of Mapbox (Static Images)

For generating the localized images, we use the service Mapbox (Mapbox Inc., USA).

The image generation is performed exclusively server-side.
No personal data of website visitors, in particular no IP addresses, are transmitted to Mapbox.

The generated images are stored locally on our server and delivered as static content.
